We spent a lovely afternoon here exploring the castle and the town. Definitely one of the best castles we have seen, lots of information for adults and kids alike. Well worth a visit and the picturesque surrounding town is worth the walk around also.

We planned a one hour visit, but stayed two hours and still hadn't seen it all. We took the audio-guide and just strolled at our own pace, discovering the rich history of Brittany. We listened to the kid's version of the guide, giving us all the...More

The whole family will enjoy the day walking around the Chateau de Fourgeres as it has something for everyone. The ramparts and towers leave one in ore and the views from the battlements over the town are a delight. The Chateau isn't a ruin, to...More

Visited while we were on holiday. Very impressed with the Fort, set in a historic town. A little expensive for what you see, but there is free English commentary available. Not much for young children to do

What an amazing place! This castle is full of charm and wonderful views. I visited with my 6-year-old son and we agreed that it was amazing. It was well worth the detour!

We were looking for a place to break our journey to the ferry in Cherbourg and this perfectly fit the bill. Our two year old loved running around the castle and climbing the ramparts - the light and sound shows were excellent. We didn’t use...More

Save yourself the tourist crush and spend the afternoon at this absolutely picturesque castle in Fougeres. The castle visit is actually quite high-tech, with audio and video presentations about its history, making the experience engaging for all ages. Get the English audioguide which synchronizes with...More

Wouldn't be surprised if dogs were not allowed but best check on the w/site. The French are getting very strict about not letting them in to public places these days.
