A nice touch was to receive an audio device tour of the site at no additional cost. As you can expect, there are considerable steps to climb.

Two couples toured the castle after lunch on a Wednesday. The castle is in very good condition. We enjoyed climbing the towers and walking the walls. There are many steps to negotiate. We spent a Little over an hour in the castle. An audio guide...More

The audio guides give you lots of information. There are towers, walkways, steps up and down etc, but this is to be expected. A lovely couple of hours can be spent here. Although we went in the summer holidays, it was fairly quiet. The ticket...More

Found this on the internet. We visited on a warm mid week day so it was quite quiet. The audio receiver gave lots of info for the visit and it was easy to use even for me as I'm usually useless with those things. The...More

This is what you would expect of a French castle, just the feeling of walking around a site that is hundreds of years old. A lot of walking up and down stairs but worth it.

This was the first chateau we visited on our trip to France and it didn’t disappoint. You enter via an impressive entrance and proceed into a large courtyard. Here you can climb the towers to get a good view of the surrounding area. Venture further...More

The chateau is well worth the visit. We had visited this chateau many years ago and looked forward to this one. The improvements to the visitor experience are fantastic. Audio guides animations in many rooms in the towers. Well worth the 8.50 ticket.

We spent a lovely afternoon here exploring the castle and the town. Definitely one of the best castles we have seen, lots of information for adults and kids alike. Well worth a visit and the picturesque surrounding town is worth the walk around also.

Wouldn't be surprised if dogs were not allowed but best check on the w/site. The French are getting very strict about not letting them in to public places these days.
