There's a good ski-bus service from the town each day so no need to trek up the twisted road through the increasing snow as the town ( some-what lower) is often snow free.

If you avoid weekends, August and fêtes, this can be a wonderful location. The walk up is 1 or2 hours, or if lucky you can take the lift.
But when you arrive and there is no low cloud, the 360 degree views are stupendous.
