Spread through the old town, including side streets, the Wednesday market that we visited had little other than food stalls. It was very interesting, but as we were staying in hotels and then with friends there was little for us to buy. Very entertaining, and if...More

The market is lively: fruit vegetables, cheeses and of course foie gras. All in the center of this perfectly restored Old City. Well worth a couple of hours.

Hot and bustly. Shaded areas to keep you cool. No pushy sales persons. Place aux oies. Good local produce. Fresh veg. Honey. Saucissons. French artisanat. Chics eating places. Experience the Traditional Dordogne.

The Wed morning market is for food. We found that there are many fois gras sellers, some are from a farm and there are others that seemed to be reselling only. So buy with care. The strawberries were exceptional! We lucked out in coming at...More
