Open to the public
Jul. 2019 • Couples
Every weekday morning from 11.00 to 14.00 it's open free to the public to wonder around and see the huge arena used for festivals and bull fighting.

Nice park bordered by the city ramparts and the river Ardour
Nov. 2016 • Couples
This is quite an extensive park and we came across it by chance when we were finding our way back to the station. On one side of it are the Gallo Roman Ramparts which are quite impressive and built in the 4th century. They have been made into a promenade. There is a bandstand in the middle and a wonderful sculpture of a bull at one of the entrances by Christian Mass. There are 2 further sculptures near by as well as bedding plants. The leaves on the trees had their autumn colours. The arena where they have the French equivalent of bullfighting is in one corner. In summer this park would be a lovely place for a picnic We wished we'd had time to spend more time in there.

Dax - a good day trip
May 2015
Dax is good for a day trip, we saw many statues beautifully made (ie "Ecarteur") and also ironwork sculptures in many gardens and flower beds. We saw the Cathedral, walked around the ramparts and this bullring arena. Saw also the old thermal baths for which the town is famous.
