A lovely narrow guage railway from Jenbach to Mayrhofen. It is normally run by diesel railcars, but once a day, they get the beautifully preserved steam engine out to pull the old carriages. Be warned, there ate a lot of reservations on the steam hauled...More

We had the steam train ride with the traditional wooden carriages and wooden benchs. There was a piano accordionist and snaps provided on the trip that we did with a group - great fun. Very atmospheric and through the beautiful scenery of the Ziller valley....More

Disappointed it wasn't a steam train. But it was a pleasant ride through the valley with various request stops. The valley was quite foggy in the morning mainly due to the smoke from various factories but it was still very scenic.
