Toucan Rescue Ranch (TRR) focuses on the care, rehabilitation and study of Costa Rican toucans and other wildlife. We receive and care for confiscated, sick and injured wildlife from government agencies. TRR gives animals a loving home with the goal of providing appropriate medical treatment, rehabilitation and then, when possible, returning wildlife back to its natural environment. The Toucan Rescue Ranch is a licensed Costa Rican wildlife rescue facility and a 501(c)3 charitable organization in the United States (EIN: 80-0516453).

Informative tour around the rescue centre, interesting to hear about the animals and see sloths in particular up close. While clearly passionate, the volunteer that gave our tour wasn't particularly animated and we saw another tour being given by someone who seemed to be more...More

This is good information, we are training two new tour guides, do you by chance remember his or her name? then we can give appropriate feedback. Thanks for mentioning this as it helps us with the selection of our guides.

I can talk and describe the feeling and experience but just go. You will get a lot out of it. The care and what you learn makes you understand more and appreciate nature's gifts.

My family and I really enjoyed our visit to the Toucan Rescue Ranch. The tour was very informative and includes much more than toucans! We were very impressed with their rescue work and dedication to the well being of so many native animals.

We did the afternoon private tour. It was educational and very fun. This ranch is a great endeavor. Everyone obviously loves animals. The young sloths were definitely the highlight of the tour, but all of the wildlife was interesting. Kudos to the Toucan Rescue Ranch!
