It was a very hot, dry, sunny day when we visited so relished the shady relief of the leafy arboretum. We encountered friendly donkeys at the start of our walk and wandered past sheep, chickens and ducks too. Very pleasant walks around pools, up to...More

This is not too far from us, but we had not visited before last week. As we were in the middle of a heatwave, we thought that a place with lots of trees, lakes and ponds, would offer cool walking conditions, and it did. After...More

The arboretum is beautiful, but it's a pity that more money couldn't be spent on providing customer service training to the dark-haired guy with the thick-lensed glasses who couldn't bring himself to rise above being surly and who has seemingly never been taught to say...More

The car parks are not far from the main entrance and the marquees may be 10 to 15 minutes walk depending on wear they put them.
