My husband and I really enjoyed the drive. It was beautiful. Along the drive we saw deer and turkey. Along the drive there was a pull off with a great view of Lake Michigan.

It's truly a sight to behold, and the smell was perfect. This is how fall was meant to be experienced, and I would urge anyone who can go, to go when the fall is in swing in Michigan.

Caught the last of the fall color. And caught the first snow of the season as well. Nice drive down narrow winding road. Not good for those prone to motion sickness. Scenic view of the harbor and makes you wonder how they get up those...More

This is a gorgeous drive. The real tunnel doesn't start until after Pond Hill Farm. You will need to just take your time and enjoy the drive. The road is narrow. It is beautiful any time of year, but quite crowded in the fall during...More

Interesting roadway along Lake coast with views of Lake. It is a very narrow road that will not accommodate large vehicles, especially RVs. There is no center line so may have to drive on shoulder when meeting another vehicle. Many 25-30 mph curves. Infrequent turnouts...More

Due to the proximity of the Great Lakes, Petoskey will stay a bit warmer than inland cities and so often lakeshore communities experience fall color change a bit later than others.

Not sure about information center, not that I recall? There are some cute shops to stop at along the way, plus a winery as well.
