There are 4 round churches on Bornholm and our tour (from cruise ship MS Prinsendam) and we were very pleased with this choice. The grounds are immaculate with ancient gravestones, shrubs and flowers. Inside the worship area dating back to 1150 has wooden seating with...More

The church and history is very interesting. It is still in use so be respectful. The attendant on duty the day we went was very nice. Go to the top.

We were here for a destination wedding and it was simply wonderful! The beautiful round white church with medieval decorations on the ceiling, the pump-pipe organ and the wooden balcony inside of this old church is amazing. For historic, religious or architectural reasons; visit this...More

We went here today, and the church was really interesting. It is old, built about 900 years ago, as a combined church and defense structure with several thick circular walls. The roof was built in a very special way, be sure to climb the stairs...More

Worth a visit for its uniquenes! Round churches having had the function of fortifications deserve a visit. Pay notice to how the light is taken care of at the preachers' stand.

For 20 DKK you get to see the no 1 round church, a type that has become a symbol of the island. It is very beautiful and there is a tricky stone stair in the wall to three top floors, one with a museum.
