I live this promenade - great shops, lots of food choices at a wide range of prices and a great atmosphere

The promenade on the beach of Viareggio is one of the best I've seen in the world. It 's very long, wide and there are many different types of shops. You can enjoy a sunny winter day as well as a cloudy day, walking and breathing the sea air, which you can reached in a few hundred meters. Fantastic.

This promenade on the beach in Viareggio is the gathering place for all the Italiani in the mornings and in the afternoons for a walk, socializing, lunch, apperitivo, and dinner. The iconic Viareggio buildings with tiled turrets front the promenade. All accesses to the beach clubs are here and it is also lined with shops, restaurants, bars and a cinema.... More

After eating great ice creams this is the place to walk it off, If you love eating shopping, with great designer shops , When we were there many sales on. Lots of street traders trying to sell goods beware .

Large open space with shops, beach access, families and restaurants. It's a great place to walk, run, ride bikes - safe and clean. Easy to spend hours along the Passeggiata.

Lovely extensive flat promenade which goes on for miles. Unfortunately due to the number of private beach clubs you don't walk by the sea because the view is obscured.

Used to love coming here for a sort of Riviera feeling, but the posh boutiques have all been replaced by chain stores ( not that I could afford to shop in them anyway) so now it just feels like a high street by the sea. Still, it's about the only place around with any life if you want to people... More

we enjoy the walk that is rich in lovely stores and boutiques and we can get a glimpse of the sea as well. the evening finds many people strolling and stopping for ice cream or a drink at the numerous places that line the "walk". The characteristic architectural styles of the buildings that bring us back to a past epoch... More
