Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This church is just outside Todi you absolutely have to stop to visit it! It is magnificent outside and inside. When you enter the church you are surrounded by all the shades of white and light gray gentle lightened by the sun entering from the windows. It is really worth to visit

This church either the design work of Bramante or his pupil Michelangelo is a large structure beautiful in its white stone simplicity. It is stunning viewed in the early morning sunlight or evening sunset. Inside there are inches with each of the 12 apostles larger than life size...one was damaged in an earthquake 2 years ago . The alter is simple . This is a very unusual church well worth a visit .

The simplicity of the decor makes this church beautiful. This is worth the stop on your way up to Todi.

This is stunningfron the outside it reminds of the papal city itself stunning, then you walk in ....take your time there a lot to see if you look closely.
Look further than in front of your eyes the central point is the to be amazed at and gives PEACE within....( Look up to the gods and they deliver )

This church is quite old; a landmark in the area. Inside of it is nice, but not particularly beautiful compared to other churches in Italy.

Brian Sewell, in a BBC television programme concerning Todi, said he thought its exterior the most perfect small Renaissance church in Italy (and that means the world!) and we agree. You could not change any of the proportions without ruining its harmony and
spatial perfection. For unavoidable, technical reasons the distortion on the photo above does not give an accurate representation of this. Come and see it! An Italian must!

Interesting because of its unique architectural design, this very large church is just outside the town walls (the city is very small) and well used for local events. The interior is imposing but pretty stark. Baroque altar.

A small little church which is, nevertheless, beautiful inside. I'll leave the history to those more expert, but this is often called the Bramante (hence the hotel of the same name a few steps away) and whether Bramante designed it or simply inspired it, you get a little piece of St. Peter's here in the Umbrian hills. Worth a visit. (And don't believe everything you read in the English-language Wikipedia)

Inside and out - a magnificent and spiritual gem that's a must see in Todi. Santa Maria della Consolazione proudly stands at the foot of Todi on the hill, and can be seen from in all its glory from both near and afar. Many a wedding has taken place in this church, as well as weekly services and other local events. Every September there are fireworks over this structure, marking the end of Summer while awaiting Autumn's harvest. This is truly a must see on your next trip to Italy!

This was the third time I visited Santa Maria Della Consolazione and each time I notice new and different things. The 12 apostles each have their own niche and it is a challenge, but fun to try and figure out their names in English. The altar has the original fresco in the center with Baroque statues, columns reaching to the ceiling; sitting quietly and observing you get the feel of the period it was constructed for. If you are in Todi it is definitely worth your time. For those looking for literature or postcards from Todi there is small selection available for sale and should you need it , free WiFi to send or check e-mail and pictures .
