Well situated below a long flight of stairs making the approach grand. Interior is special with painting of the coronation of Virgin Mary.

Duomo Spoleto is a beautiful site with reams of history attached. Be sure to venture inside to see some of the dated alters which were used locally.

Like most Italian churches, this one deserves a walk around. The church is not as flamboyant as some, but the artwork and architecture are interesting. Stop and enjoy it for a while, it's worth it.

A gem! We are spoilt for the rich marble and rich chapels. The one with black madonna can be admired for hours!

Spoleto is a well kept secret but the lack of tourist hordes is probably one of its charms. It is an elegant and noble looking town and the duomo was spectacular with beautiful frescoes. We spent about 1 hour looking around with our 4yo son....More
