A beautiful Duomo worth a visit. Unfortunately we hadn't had any time to go inside but it is really beautiful. If I visit Spoleto again I'll definitely go back for a visit.

The Duomo of Spoleto, dating from the 12th century, features a lovely Romanesque façade and a magnificent fresco cycle by Fra Filippo Lippi. Its official name is Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta(Cathedral of the Assumption of St. Mary). Well worth a visit.

We arrived just in time for a Mass. Enjoyed the experience in this beautiful Duomo. We enjoyed the 1500 year chapel and the beautiful frescoes. Worth a stop.
It's a beautiful medieval cathedral built in the 12th century. There must be frescoes by Lippi and Pinturicchio but we got there on a Sunday during the morning mass and didn't feel like wandering thru and taking pictures while people were praying.
