a huge ski area with superb runs and views

Although the village seemed very busy the ski runs are not crowded as there is a vast ski area. The village is lovely with lots of great bars and shops.

Fifteen years and counting spent in St Ulrich, Selva and Santa Christina. Wonderful skiing, great people, incredible scenery of the Dolomites

Been all over Europe (France, Switzerland, Austria) but this is top!!! Third year in row, would never want to change. Huge skiing possibilities, great slopes. Connected to 11 other resorts, some of them can be done in skis. Town of Selva really nice, superb food. Wanna go also in the summer to check.

I visited the place in winter. We passed the place several times and stopped just for a short break: to eat and drink. Shops with skiing equipment are expensive. Staircase up to the short chairlift is not very good solution.

To the anglo traveler this is not a well known ski area. It should be. The scenery is better than anything else in the Alps, by far. The extent of the connected ski area is unmatched. Being Italy, the food is so much better and more affortable than Austria, Switzwerland or France. And the people in this part of the... More

It was the second year in a row that we went there to do ski and we loved it once again. Ortisei is a very charming village in Val Gardena. The only drawback is that in high season it can take you 45m to reach the top of the slopes because of the queue at the Sceda cable car.

The area is big, so it will take some getting used to, but once you get your bearings, you will be able to find slopes suited for every level of skier or snowboarder. Views are amazing and many of the restaurants provide great food and wine.

This is a large ski area with plenty for all abilities. Try the Sellaronda where there is 45km of linked runs.
