Wonderful ski area , long ski lift going up . For all levels of ski . Very convenient slopes . Part of the selaronda , that will take you 3-5 hours excluding breaks. You will need a super Dolomity ski pass . Refugio's all over to have a drink or snack .

From Ciampinoi, a short round-trip walk of a couple hours or so (with time to enjoy the scenery) can be made to the Sella pass (Sellajoch), skirting the base of Sassolungo. Views are superb the whole way and the walk is easy. Go down the hill, left toward Rifugio Emilio Comici, and follow the "Naturonda" signs to the city of... More

It might seem a little dear but it's the best way to get up on to all manner of superb hikes around Sassolungo - and to visit the Rifugio Emilio Cominci. The walk back down to Selva was a bit dull (23) but we wanted to see the world cup ski run. Hard to imagine when it's covered in flowers!

Sella ronda and the entire skiing domain in Val Gardena as far as Cortina is outstanding. I would definitely go back to this area for skiing holidays.

The crowds can be endless and obnoxious as this is THE entryway to the mountain in this area. Get there early and try to ski the mountain without returning too often.

Try saslong descent to see how good you're in skiing. Champinoi is also a good starting point to reach Secheda - another gem for skiing.

Cable car whisks you up to a beautiful up walking area. Many mountain huts available for refreshments at very reasonable prices once you reach the summit. Wonderful mountain flowers.

The cable car is comfortable and nice, and most of the trails from the cable car are suitable to travel with a stroller comfortably. Lovely kids' activities at Rifugio Comici make this a good family choice.

We took this cable car several times to complete some wonderful hikes in the mountains. A fast ride to the top ... Then many choices of tracks for mountain bikes and walking.

Was able to take the tram up, and hike around, and an easy hike down. Great huts to get a drink or something to eat.
