Built in 1888 as one of the first mountain huts in Val Gardena. It's located on the sunny side in the middle of the Nature Park Puez-Odle with a stunning view on the Sassolungo and on the Odle mountains. Perfect starting point for different walkings and hikings. The kitchen offers fresh local dishes and there is the chance to sleep in rooms or dormitories. Open in summer from 1st June until mid of October.

It is truly amazing that these mountain "huts" are such great restaurants. Highly recommend the veggie pasta, hot mulled wine and of course, the apple strudel!

We spent couple of days there, our goal was to climb Piccola fermeda. In this refuge you can have a good meals, and sleep in small rooms or in dormitory. Easy to reach by walk form different places, or using the cableway (Col Raiser - 15min).

Excellent spot to stop for a beer & pasta. In the mountains it is so nice to find wonderful restaurants & there many in the Italian dolomite's. Great views looking down the mountain while sipping a cold beer. Would recommend it. Good waitresses.

We have been twice in this refuge for lunch. There is a big variety of dishes, the hosts are very helpful and attentive. The lunch is served in no time. The prices are lower than in other eateries (e.g. 7,5 EUR for Polenta with sausage). The views from the terrace are very nice. The retrace and tables are clean. The... More

We utilised the services of this Refugio when hiking from Seceda back to Ortisei via Col raiser and finally down track 4. A lovely days outing with Firenze being situated just right for lunch and coffees. Good service and excellent facilities. Accommodation is also available here.

We had the pleasure of spending time at the family Perathoner, it is an excellent staging point for any activity in the magnificent PUEZ-ODLE nature park. We had the opportunity to go from the hut and do the SASS RIGAIS (3025m) via feratta. Due to icy conditions we were only able to walk part of the feratta, but nevertheless this... More

Stayed here for one night in late June and enjoyed the hospitality of the hosts. The dinner was great. My friend and split a pasta dish and salad. The views are phenomenal and the hosts have rabbits which children will enjoy. It is a close walk to Selva.

This place was crammed when we visited on a sunny August day. I ordered Kaiserschmarrn (a local thick pancake) with cranberries and enjoyed the meal with a pint of local lager. I would suggest that this establishment is filed under restaurants rather than attractions.

Staff were great. They hadn't yet opened for the 2014 summer, but served us coffees and wonderful weissbier. It was an excellent hike up from Selva with our 6 month old child.
