Great morning out. Starts with beautiful lake views on old track, then nice valley, then small lake with villages around the edge. Small museum of stilt houses/natural history. Some steep bits, lanes, tracks, nothing technical unless you go to the adjacent MTB trails (these are...More

Well worth visiting, scenery and historical. Easy drive from Torbole. Don't miss the museum for the stilt houses. April a great time to visit, not sure what peak summertime would be like. Fabulous drives up into the mountain passes.

I have explored the valley with my roadbike. It is less crowded than Riva and also the traffic is lower. It is good to go there a bit later (about 10am) as it becomes more exposed to sunlight than early in the morning. Also the...More

This place is breathtaking. I mean, the Lake Garda area is generally beautiful but this is another level. Quite a precarious drive up into the mountains but definitely worth it. So so beautiful. I would recommend!!

I was born here and I lived here my youth. So I can be a little biased. But every year, even if I pass here just a few days, I find out something improved add became a little better. Probably I am getting older.

A beautiful lake with the most transparent waters you can imagine. So much quieter and more peaceful than Garda can be as well. Plenty of nice places to eat and just sit and take in the view. Would recommend driving or getting a bus however...More

Although the views are more restricted on this walk it passes through very green and pleasant paths and woodlands before reaching Molina and Lago di Ledro which make the walk well worthwhile. A couple of quite tough and steep sections and some walking on the...More

I am planning to visit Riva del Garda with my family this August and I was wondering if there is any height limits in the car due to the size of the road and tunels around the area. we have an SUV but we will have a luggage carrier on the top which will make the total height around 2.5 meters. Do you think that we will have a problem with this height with the tunels in the area? thank you for answer George

Hello George, I don't think so you'll have any problem whatsoever. The tunnels up to Ledro were amply large - there were numerous Camper Vans, and lorries, and buses plying the route ! The same was true of the other tunnels... More
