The Loris Malaguzzi Centre is a 'must visit' for every educator of young children. Wonderful exhibits, and a great cafe. Sadly, we did not eat in the restaurant, but by the crowd in there, it is clearly very popular.

Stop by even if you are not going to Reggio children conferences Reggio Emilia is a hop away from Bologna and Parma. Worth the train ride from Milan
