This is serious work. They say I t was the main way to Ravello until they built the road in 1930. I find that hard to believe, but it is enchanting. You go through a deep walkway with thousands of steps, and periodically emerge to...More

There are several ways to walk down from Ravello to Atrani and then reach Amalfi. There are beautiful views, walking by lemon groves and gardens. Make sure that you have a very good map; the walk is not well marked everywhere.

We walked from Amalfi - with the help of the walking map from the tourist information we walked across the back roads to Atrani where we started the ascent to Ravello. A relentless ascent up uneven and well trodden steps hewn from stone - the...More

But SO worth it! I'll admit I thought that Rick Steves was kidding when he said the hike was for mountain goats. We hike a good bit in the Blue Ridge of VA USA, so I wasn't expecting it to be bad. But make no...More

We did the walk from Ravello to Amalfi whick took us close to 2 hours. The beginning and ending portions of the walk are ok with at least some nice views. However, the portion comprising of numerous steps (probably a couple of hundreds) did not...More

The info said that this was a 38 min walk but in fact took about 1 hr and 1/2 and up hill all the way. There are steps and signs to follow but there are areas that are super steep with irregular height steps. It...More

My husband and I are in OK shape. We went downhill, Ravello to Atrani. Most of the walk was on very uneven steps in narrow alleyways with no view. The steps are also often in bad condition. Then part of the walk is on the...More

Only attempt this walk if you are relatively fit with strong legs! We are in our mid 40s and class ourselves as fairly able as far as hiking and walking are concerned. We managed this down-hill trek in about an hour and a half. We...More

We started next to Villa Cimbrone where there was a sign that pointed down for Minore and Amalfi. Not sure if this is right, but it worked. I think there might be another path too. Just keep following the steps. When you come to a...More

hi, I read the review about the walk from Ravello to Atrani. Would you say the views were as good as the Path of the Gods walk? I don't think we will have time to do both, and perhaps should bus both directions from Amalfi to Ravello. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks, joe

This walk is not worth it at all! The scenery is not great, it is sometimes smelly and dirty and you often have to walk on the road among cars and not on a path ...go for the Path of the Gods definitely!!

Once you enter Atrani, walk most of the way uphill on the main road through the town. You next head up a steep staircase to the right near a small plaza not quite at the end. Might to handy to have a map as the path is not well signposted.

We walked up from Positano to Ravello, and then back down. It was good both ways.
