I'm sure it's not the best way to reach Ravello, but the bus from Amalfi is certainly interesting! When you get off the ferry you walk into the central piazza and turn right, where you will find the bus stop (there are blue-shirted bus staff...More

Ravello lies above the rest of the towns on the Amalfi coast and getting here involves an uphill drive which at one point becomes a single lane. A traffic light manages the one way traffic either up-hill or downhill through this section. We were here...More

Ravello is one of our favorite spots on the Amalfi Coast for it's artistry and relaxed sensibility. It does get a bit overrun with tourists however you can find spots to get away from the maddening crowd with a five minute walk. The locals are...More

Interesting to wander around the lanes off the main square, nice old buildings and many steps to encounter. Carry on walking to the left of Villa Rufolo and you come to a terrace where there is a super view eastwards along the Amalfi Coast.

Great area to walk around. Have good walking shoes on since everything is pretty much cobble stoned. Remember Ravello is in the hills so there are steps to everything. 1500 steps to Minori

This is a charming town to bumble around and to get some exercise as there are lots of stairs! Small, but with some very nice shops, cafes and restaurants. If you are up early (before the day visitors) you get a much more authentic feel...More

Stuck in a bit of a time Warp between Roman village and medieval Township. Of the beaten track 500 meters above Amalfi with stunning views down on coastal villages. Take the bus up. Lots of pleasant restaurants dotted along narrow paved stone walkways. Not as...More

Ravello is enchanting. Had a lovely day trip here from Maiori. So many beautiful places to visit without the oppressive crowds in Amalfi or Positano. In fact, if you are time short and have to choose a town to visit, this would be my choice....More
