Marina di Praia, or La Praia, is a wonderful little beach cove. It's small and intimate and always a place for locals as wells as the lucky tourists who happen to find it. Many good restaurants are here and you can hire a boat for a tour of the coast. The water is clean and clear and there are beach loungers for rent. Amazing spot.

This small stoney beach is the only true beach in Praiano. There is another in Praiano proper (with a lovely bar on the path down) but it's really just harbour. The water is not very clean sure to bring a harbour and the waves churning things up. There was no shower so you will need to stay dirty. Being a bay the land on either side blocks both sunrise and sunset. It also means of you get a sun bed in the morning of won't be in the sun by the afternoon. If it's on the cool side you'll certainly feel the difference. But if it's not then maybe it's a good thing. The Praia beach is small with a fairly quick drop off into the bay where a number of boats are moored. There are several restaurants and a small boutique so plenty to eat and drink it you want. There are needs for rent (around 5 Euro) and some parking spaces again at a charge. There are also several stalls providing access to boats to Amalfi or Capri or wherever you want. There are also kayaks for rent and a scuba diving school. You can either get to the beach by road, including Sita bus, or via a path around the headland accessed near the famous africana club. It's much easier and safer to go via the path.

The beach is small and not over the top beautiful. There were wipes and some trash near us, but we made the best of it. Bring water shoes the peebles and stones make it very hard to walk around and even in the water.
