We were fortunate to spend five days in Positano this past summer and we spent part of every day at this beach. Each day we rented loungers and the beach attendant was always kind enough to give us a convenient area and offer us beach...More

The location is lovely and the bars and beach side cafes are very convenient. On the negative 7 euros each is more expensive than Amalfi or Maiori for beds and the stones are those horrible round pebbley type that really hurt when you walk on...More

We went there early June and it was a bit cloudy so the beach does not look as nice, the water was too cold for us. Walking there from the Grande Spaggia, the view is beautiful.

Fornillo Beach is a short walk (maybe 7-10 minutes or so from the main beach/ferry dock in the town of Positano. The walk there has incredible views and if you prefer not to walk, you can also take a small boat over (or back) from...More

The beach was rocky but the view was beyond beautiful. Shops, the church, and homes overlooked the coastline and the blue water that lapped the shore.

Ate here last night. Very simple but beatifully presented and good portions. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff with good service. Positano always very expensive but Formillo is (for Positano) good vfm.

Smaller, picturesque and less crowded than the main beach, but an easy walk into town. Some good restaurants in Fornillo itself meant we didn't have to go into to town or book in advance. Stayed at Hotel Dimora Fornillo...would stay again in a heartbeat!!

The smaller of Positano’s beaches, reached by a pretty walk and judging by Italian custom and beach etiquette, a good choice and this time of year. Loved the views, enjoyed the swimming and hospitality.

Yes, there are a couple of bars and restaurants suitable for brunch or lunch... not so much for a fancy dinner.
