Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We liked the vibrancy and beautiful architecture
Nice eateries all around and nice shopping as well. We took a lot of pictures and also climbed the bell tower

I made a big mistake planning my day trip from Florence to Lucca & Pistoia. I stopped in Pistoia first, and I knew it was market day (Wednesday). Why was it a mistake? There were great deals on clothes, purses, and a lot of other things, and I didn't want to carry bags with me through Lucca. Should have gone to Lucca first. Couldn't get a real view of the square with all of the stands set up, but that's okay. Still had nice views of the buildings around it.

We visited it on a saturday, week market and a full square. It was very nice and alive. During lunch the market broke up and the square reveiled itself. Great!!

This cathedral was lovely, had audio guide from the baptistery (ticket office). Some lights needed to be put on for us to see, saving the environment. Beautifully carved antependium Altar of st James in silver. Handy leaflet.
The tower tour was fantastic, great views across the city, uneven steps and surfaces so not for those less able or unsteady on your feet.

Well worth the multi ticket.

Very relaxing place, big enough and not as crowded as other Tuscan towns. Mini version of all other places. But not as much interesting.

Pistoia has a classic Tuscan town square. The Medicis conquered the town, and the architecture shows the influence. This piazza is large and impressive -- not Florence but impressive nonetheless.

We went to Pistoia for one morning on our way to Lucca. I found the piazza nothing special. But the city center of Pistoia is definitely worth visiting and strolling around!! A lot more quite as there are not too many tourist.
