We made a reservation at this lovely boutique winery at the recommendation of one of our guidebooks and we were not disappointed. We were warmly greeted (even when we arrived late to our appointment) and immediately taken on a tour through the vineyards with detailed explanations of their winemaking philosophy and the unique terrain on which they grow their grapes.... Great explanation of the Vino Nobile wine making process. The winery looks much smaller in size than it actually is. Alessandro (sp) was very welcoming and we had an excellent tasting of 6 wines. There will be Boscarelli on the way back to the USA!

Located near Montepulciano is the Boscarelli Vineyard. It is here that we stopped for a tour. It is a family run business for three generations of the De Ferrari family. We had a short tour around the estate and a very good explanation on the different planting methods for vines and the resulting number of grape bunches according to the... More

We had an appointment at 11:00 and were told that 4 more were joining us...Waiting, but got a call that they were running late. So, we started without them. Francesca gave us a little walk outside and showed us the grape vines. Learned alot of the history of Boscarelli. Got to pick a couple grapes that were left...very sweet. Got... More

The staff was great at telling us the Boscarelli story and then walking us thru a tasting of some great wines. They made the ultimate purchase of a case to send home painless. You do need to make a tasting reservation in advance. They responded to our email request promptly.

We came here on recommendation from our hotel and were not disappointed. A fairly brief tour by our very informative and personable guide was followed by a tasting of 6 wines. All very good! We bought only one bottle to take but the two other couples each snatched up a case or two each. Yummy. We rode a Vespa to... More

We had emailed ahead and got a very quick repsonse to accomodate the date and time we would be visiting Montepulciano. We arrived the vineyard a minute or 2 late but were welcomed. We were a large group of 9. We originally thought we were just doing a tasting, but were quickly included in a tour, which was well worth... More

We emailed ahead and reserved a noon tour and tasting on a Sunday at Boscarelli. We were joined by just two other couples and received a tour and tasting in just about an hour. The hospitality was warm and the tour of this little winery that puts out 110K bottles a year was fascinating. The wine was delicious and priced... More

This was the last of our six Tuscan wineries. Here we paid for an hour tour. It was very informative and worth the money. Good contrast to large wineries to see how cramped the spaces are. Very down to earth attitude and cozy athmosphere. Also good wines.

Francesca showed us the process of producing wine. She took the time to explain and show everything in clear English so that all processes were understood and explained properly. The wine was delicious and you could taste the expertise of the family. An absolute fantastic experience for a good price!
