We signed up for the tour and lunch at Avignonesi and would highly recommend it. The winery itself is a beautiful property. The tour was very informative and just the right length. The lunch with the wine pairings was amazing and the setting was very picturesque. I would definitely go back and would highly recommend it!! It was a fabulous... More

We reserved for the wine tour and lunch which was superb. The tour was short, about 30 minutes but very interesting. The wine tasting and lunch was a couple of hours and well worth the price. A beautiful view, great wines and a Tuscan lunch which was superb. We recommend this to anyone wanting to sample some great wines and... More

We recently had a wonderful tour, lunch and wine tasting at Avignonesi Winery. This was the highlight of our trip to Montepulciano!!! Our winery tour guide was so knowledgeable and the history of this winery is very interesting and recently became organic which was extremely interesting to learn how this transition has taken place. The lunch and wine pairing was... More

Avignonesi is one of the best Vino Noblie di Montipulciano producer, the physical property is in Cortona. Various options available for tasting preferences, I actually picked two options since I happen to be around Tuscany on a business trip and this was a weekend visit. The pace was relaxed and the property has a reach history, you can choose to... More

We had mixed thoughts about this winery before our appointment. On one hand we had been told that they were the best winery in the region, on the other that they USED to be the best winery until they were sold. Well, we arrived at the winery at our appointed time and were greeted by a very nice young gal.... More

I am glad we stopped on our visit to Montepulciano - it is just really a beautiful place. We found the wine needed to be aged longer. It will be awesome in a couple of years as it develops but I am not is a position to buy a case of wine and store it for a couple of years... More

We stopped here for a wine tasting on our way from Cortona to Montepulciano and we were very glad that we did. This area was some of the most beautiful countryside we saw during our entire trip to Tuscany. The winery grounds and buildings are also quite lovely. We just did a simple tasting on the patio just off of... More

We had a wine tasting which was so worth it! The place is scenic and you can have a little walk around the property. They have guided visits. Wine here was delicious! Go to this place if you are having a tour around Tuscany!!

Recommended by an Italian friend and a very enjoyable few hours. An excellent and quite technical tour of the vines, drying rooms (Malvasia, Trebbiano and Sangiovese for the amazing dessert wines) and cellars for their other red wines ( the wines are made in another of their 9 estates) followed by an excellent 4 course lunch accompanied by their excellent...
