Do not trust this service, especially at night. The train did not arrive on time, we saw it fly past 20 minutes early and never return. Left stranded. If you phone the cell number they reference, you get shouted at and told not to speak...More

Our kids has been asking for years to go on this little train. It’s touristy but cute and definitely worth it. Don’t forget to buy an ice cream when arriving in Lenno. Or if you have more time/money to visit the beach club (closed mondays...More

We were staying in Cadennabia, so the train was an ideal way to get to all the attractions between Lenno and Menaggio. We spent a full day visiting all of the villages, with a longer stop for lunch in Mennagio. A whole day ticket gave...More

We travelled from Menaggio to Lenno on a Tuesday, which is market day in Lenno. Train terminates here and stopped on the road and we were advised the pick up would be at same place. However on our return we duly waited for the train...More

The ride itself is ok comfortable and fun. However, we were left stranded around 5 km from our hotel at night, simply because it had slightly rained for 10 min few hours prior. We had bought return tickets (8 euro/person) from Gabenabbia to Menaggio and...More

It's a fun way of getting along the lake side, a lot easier than walking, especially as there is no footpath at times and though very "touristy", it is an interesting trip. Costs are reasonable, 8 euros for a return trip.

We got on this train and asked for a return ticket and the driver only issued a single and would not correct his mistake. He was very grumpy in the extreme and should not be in such a position where safety and peoples enjoyment are...More

I paid 16 Euro for 2 return tickets on this bone shaker, from Menaggio to St Lorrenzo Church. I stated my required destination to the driver. The train failed to stop at the Church and carried on to Lenno, where we made the return journey...More

Hi, the train has a facebook page. It goes from Mennaggio to Lenno, following the coast road- it runs on the road. The train is mostly a fun thing. For more practical travelling around use either the very efficient buses or... More
