Enjoyed this - a nice walk around the town centre, starting at Porta Garibaldi. Spend 30 minutes to an hour walking in this area

The Gate or Archway into the city are given its name by the fact that Garibaldi landed here with his army and entered the city with his small army of "Red Shirts". The Archway itself is not overly significant other than for its historical value....More

You have to know the story of Garribaldi or preferably read Ïl gattopardo" to enjoy it more. I would not make a special tour to review this item

Enter by the gate on a Sunday night and you will see hundreds of natives promenading on the white marble streets as they enjoy a gelato. This is a delightful place to learn about the passeggiata.
