Lipari's most famous landmark, be surrounded in history as you walk up the stairs leading to the apostle St Bartholomew admire this lovely statue as you read the history behind this fortress and what it means to the islanders.

the church is ok, but the frescoes look overrestaured, clolours look very very vivid. loved the 11 century cloister , not sure why we had to pay 1 euro for it

It's the cathedrale from Lipari, in the center of the oldest part of the city, much stairs to climb, very nice views; the cattedral is dedicated to San Bartolomeo and merit a visit; other nice sites to visit in the ancient area.

The church is located in the heart of the citadel. It is the oldest and largest church in Lipari. Beautiful views of the harbour. Well worth the climb.

The cathedral itself is nothing extraordinary but attached is an 11th century Norman cloister (ticket Euro1.00 at a counter in the church) that was recently discovered after being buried under rubble for centuries. This gem is a must for everyone interested in Lipari's past, and...More
