It's the cathedrale from Lipari, in the center of the oldest part of the city, much stairs to climb, very nice views; the cattedral is dedicated to San Bartolomeo and merit a visit; other nice sites to visit in the ancient area.

The church is located in the heart of the citadel. It is the oldest and largest church in Lipari. Beautiful views of the harbour. Well worth the climb.

It dominates the skyline but its a pretty ordinary cathedral behind a grand facade, worth a look as are the neighbouring museums, excellent views nearby over the Marinha Corta and to the main port areas.

Beautiful frescoes on the ceiling, an interesting silver statue of St. Bartholomew, and a reliquary in the form of a ship. The small but worth seeing cloister courtyard.
