The museum has moved from the Fort to a new building which is very close to the Fontana delle 99 cannelle. The museum is very good and is a must visit attraction for visitors to the city.

We had seen a site that gave the opening hours for the castle and the museum within but I want others to know that it has not yet been opened following the 2009 earthquake. You can walk around the castle and the grounds are a nice place to have a picnic but it was terribly disappointing to find that it... More

This museum was not open, unfortunately. The town is still requiring a lot of reconstruction after the earth quake in 2009, six years and there is no money. This museum that is in the Spanish fort, very famous, built by Federico II in the early 1200's. The fort is interesting to walk around, even the views to the Apennines are... More
