Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Garda is a beautiful small traditional town on the shore of Lake Garda.
A boardwalk has been created between Garda & Bardolino & whichever way you do the walk you have beautiful views everywhere you look.
The walk between the 2 towns takes approximately an hour.

get a day ticket for every day for boats on lake and visit many places. i had a week there and went to Riva del garda then walked to Torbole then bus back to Garda takes about a hour .its a 45 min walk great views on lake shore. Lazies and Bardolino worth a visit best on lake. The cable car ride up Malcesine and the town is a must its medial not good for wheelchair in town but cable car ride ok for wheelchaire. but go early as cable car ride gets long queues ; sirmione is good for a hour trip as is salo,Gardone and Gargnano not big towns.my poorest visits were Peschiera and Desenzano as these are a long trip from Garda. a day trip to Verona was a good day out on bus cost 8 euro.from Garda. plenty of pizza and pasta places to eat at they all charge about the same. shoping ok in lake garda but dont expect big shops mostly bags and shoes sold, the lake is very very large so you will need a few days to explore,Garda to top of lake can take Three and a half hours on boat.a place we stopped at for lunch was Brenzone nice lake side restaurant over looking lake, good service and food.next to boat station next to little harbor, tables outside its on right side as you walk of boat .Riva del Garda most expensive shops . verona good prices for shoes. markets not that good around lake they are all the same. for long distance take bus.

After a big pizza for lunch I practically forced my boyfriend for a walk and then TripAdvisor suggested me this walk - from Garda to Bardolino.
That was a really great walk which I can recommend highly if you also have eaten a bit too much and/or just need some fresh air and a nice walk.
The walk from Garda to the Bardolino harbor was around 40 minutes and you'll pass by cute camping spots, green areas and not to forgot - you'll walk along the lake the whole way.
P.s. We visited Garda in the middle of September and we were very lucky with the weather - maybe the walk is not that nice if it's raining crazy.

Lovely views and clear, clean waters. Good ferry service to visit different areas of the lake. We stayed in Garda which was very nice and walking distance to Bardolino which was also very pretty.
All the towns around the lake are very pretty and clean with lots of nice cafes and restaurants. Also not as expensive as I had expected.

Garda has plenty of tourist gift shops, restaurants, bars and cafés to suit all budgets and you can spend lots of time wandering around the little side streets. From the lake front you can enjoy a very pleasant walk around the shoreline along a long path leading on to a pebble beach towards punta San Vigilio. I've no doubt that in summer the whole place would be heaving with people walking, cycling and sun bathing, but on a fine day in April, the walk was almost deserted. There were just a few passers-by and small groups of cyclists so we were able to enjoy the natural tranquillity of the area and the beautiful views of the lake (including peeking over walls or through hedges to view some really stunning lake front properties).
We walked all the way around to the beautiful villa hotel at San Vigilio and I should mention that when we visited in April there was a section of the walk where we had to remove footwear and roll up trousers to paddle along the edge of the lake because the water covered the path and reached right up against the retaining walls, but on a nice sunny day it was all part of the experience!

A charming walk from the cafes for people watching in Garda to th gentle stroll to Bardolino, with the interest of the boatyard as a stop along the way.

We walked from Garda to Bardolino several times along the Lungolago di Garda as it an easy walk, the walkway is flat and well paved. Although you need to watch out for cyclists as the speed past ( notices say they should cycle at walking speed but this is largely ignored). There are a few bars along the way and places to stop for a swim.
For a longer walk we took the bus to Lazise ( a bit further down the lake) and walked back, again a fairly easy walk but plenty to see.

The lakeside promenade from Bardolino to Garda is an easy 45 minute stroll with wonderful scenery along the way. The only not so pretty part of the walk is when the promenade is diverted inland to avoid a large campsite.
As other reviewers have mentioned, keep an eye out for speeding cyclists who don't always ring their bells as they approach you from behind.
Garda town is pretty with dozens of inviting cafes with stunning views over the lake. We were aware of a circular walk that returned you to Bardolino via the cliff above the town and through the vineyards but unfortunately didn't have time to research it in advance.
