This is a place that you go to for the view, which is magnificent from all directions. However the castle itself compared to others that we've seen is just average. There's not much left there just ruins put it outside it is beautiful. Tickets in...More

We loved the view and the castle itself. However, although the 4 euro fee isn't that high, you honestly won't necessarily miss a thing. Up to you!

It is a nice place. A castle, but more than that it is the views that you have from there. To walk around and admire the surroundings.

While the castle was closed down for the holidays we walked up one side of the castle, walked around it and then left by the other side. There are beautiful gardens and the views are phenomenal. The Restaurant was closed in the castle but there...More

Erice is a fortification 750 metres above Trapani. Do not waste your time in Trapani, drive straight to the very modern cable car and go up to Erice. It is a quaint place full of churches and old castles, but the best are the absolute...More

If you are in San Vito Lo Capo, Erice is worth the 45 minute trip to visit. Beautiful views from the hilltop castle and town.

This castle was built in XII century, not much left now, but go for magnificent view from the top. Better in clear weather.

I would say about 15 minutes to walk up and down the hill plus he time of the visit (we spent about 15 minutes walking around the ruins). So about 30 minutes in total.
