Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Don't miss it! The cablecar ("funivia") is a just a short walk from the bus stations and the city center. Even if you don't enjoy skiing, like myself, you will enjoy the view - it is breathless!

A wonderful way to get to the top (almost) of the hill.
Costly at €21 per person. (€17 for minors).
Good choice in restaurant cafeteria and bar.

Expect blue sky’s great snow friendly people and outrageously great food it’s easy to see why this location was chosen for a James Bond film

After riding the cable car up the mountain, our family did some hiking, enjoyed the stunning views, and bought snacks from the restaurant. There was still snow on the ground in June so of course our Florida kids had a snowball fight. It was gorgeous and lots of fun!

Another great place to visit in this beautiful area. Just can’t get this smile off my face. Great place to take plenty of photos and to hike around. Fantastic view of Cortina from the top. Thank you. Can’t wait to go back.

The Northside of these mountains has the best runs in Cortina . The restaurant on top has a wonderful meal . The red runs are challenging enough to keep you amused

We travelled up the cable which cost 14 Euros each/one way as we decided to hike down. There is lovely restaurant after you've reached the top (not the mid station). We hiked down the 214 which is described as a medium hike, but it's harder than that. I'd say difficult because 2hrs of the hike is scree - just loose stones and it's hard to get your footing. The last 45 mins are fine. Take lots of water and provisions as there is hardly any shade on this hike. All in all a fab day out, but I would
choose another hike.

Looks scary, but well worth the trip. The view from the top is magnificent. At 2120m the 360 degree view of the mountains surrounding Cortina is very uplifting. There was still plenty of snow on the slopes and the skiing looked great too. The large restaurant had a good sized area for a buffet style lunch and the a la carte section had great views from the windows overlooking the valley.

Is the cable car open on June 1 and how long does it take to reach the summit. Also approximately how long are the lines? Thank you

I don't know for sure, but believe it would operate year-round; there is skiing and probably spring skiing in May. We were up there in September; we walked down from the Tondi, at 7,700', to Rio Gere at 5,500' and from there caught a bus into town. Check with the Cortina tourist office to confirm.

Is it easy enough to walk back down to Cortina from the second higher cable car station? Some reviews say bad underfoot with scree but what is the "new panorama walk" that is mentioned? What is this and is it better underfoot? We are seasoned mountain walkers but don't want to be scrambling down scree for a couple of hours. Thanks.

I don't know any such route. Down to 2nd cable car station from summit is very slippery on vehicle track and off track it is rough, lumpy and difficult to see holes due to scrub plants
