I highly recommend to go up this mountain in your trip to the Dolomites area. They have a big parking space infront of the ticket office. The cable car was full but I was able to manage to video the ride going up as I saw a little window of opportunity above the cable car driver's head to document the ascent. I love cable cars and I love recording the ascent and descent. However, there were people already ahead of me when we entered the cable car. This cable car runs fast especially as it was nearing the top. I saw 2 people climbing up the mountain. For those who like to go via ferrata, the possibility is there. Wished I was in good form to hike longer but I managed 7000 steps. Not bad for someone who experienced heel pain at the time. The views are magnificent. We used 3 hours being there. We also had some light meal at the Rifugio up there. This Rifugio really offers dishes not just pastries. The road around this area which is called Passo Fazelrego is very beautiful too. I am in love with the beautiful nature here. Why did God give everything to the Dolomites?:)

Arriving by bus at Falzorego pass you take the cable car up to Lagazuoi. Prepare to wait a little for the way up. The view up there is just outstanding. Most come up there (including me) for the famous Lagazuoi-Armentarola ski run. Its a very cool, not too difficult and scenic 8km run. At about 2/3 the way down there is an ice fall where you can often spot ice climbers. At the end of the run you are offered a horse lift (horse carriage with long ropes pulling up to 20 skiers at a time) or taxi ride back to the Armentarola bus station. Pros: -unique experience -nice ski day trip if residing in Val Gardena or around -you always get a bus pretty quickly at Armentarola station (almost never wait) -ski run/lift connection to Cortina d'Ampezzo -high quality food at rif. Lagazuoi -Scenery/landscape Cons: -horse lift and bus ride to Falzorega pass not included in ski ticket -waiting ~10-30min for the cable car
