Courgette/Zuccini recipe excellent. Pasta tutorial good. Nice location Friendly. A very pleasant way to spend a rainy and windy October day. Good tips on sauce making. Sadly we can't get the ripe tomatoes so easily further north !
We had private cooking class for 4 of us, the class was in amazing place with beautiful view, Antonio the chef was so nice and with lots of patient, I learned a lot about the sicilian food and tradition, we cooked amazing food, and had...More
From my first email to Cinzia to book the class until we left, everything was great. She was wonderful at returning my emails and went so far as to book the taxi for us which meant we could enjoy the local wine without having to...More

The cooking class was everything I hoped it would be. It was instructive both in recipes and in food traditions. With Antonio’s guidance we made a great lunch in a beautiful setting. Then we saw many of our recipes in menus in Cefalu. I would...More
We had a wonderful day making a fresh tomato sauce which can be appreciated by the two hour cooking time! This accompanied the fresh tagliatelle we made & sauted aubergine. We also made stuffed courgettes with capers, raisins, almonds, breadcrumbs & parmesan, a great vegetarian...More
Wonderful cooking experience with Antonio. We made delicious food from fantastic ingredients. Ate so much! Antonio was a great teacher and great fun. Would highly recommend a visit to Villa Palamara for this thoroughly enjoyable cooking experience. Easy cab ride from Cefalù.

We booked a cooking class for lunch at Villa Palamara. The only downside is to get there. We used a cab, which was fine, after you got through the process of arranging.
Because the cab driver wanted to leave earlier, we arrived almost an hour...More

Hi, I attended this course with my sister-in-law and we too are seniors. It was a great day essentially from about 10 to 3.15 although we stayed longer (see below). There were eight participants from various corners of the world. The hosts spoke good English, were extremely friendly, generous, amusing and kind.
We were provided with coffee and cake/biscuit on arrival, then we cooked three courses - starter, main (we choose in advance whether we would prefer fish or meat), sweet - demonstrated by our hosts, then prepared by ourselves under guidance on a very large table in their kitchen. The dishes were not difficult (e.g. stuffed courgettes) but interesting, typical of Sicily and different from normal British/American fare. The hosts used vegetables, herbs and fruit picked from their garden that day.
For lunch we sat outside under a parasol to enjoy local wine (red or white), our cooking and a stunning view down to the sea, chatting happily with other group members. We were invited to wander round the garden and use the (large) pool in the afternoon and linger as long as we wished, in our case until 5pm.
It cost about 90 Euros and worth every penny. The hosts also provide accommodation which looked most attractive and which I would certainly consider on a future occasion.
I hope this answers your question.
