We were in Italy for 2 weeks celebrating both my 50th birthday as well as our wedding anniversary. We visited Tenuta Casanova on the advice of a co-worker of mine who visited last year on their vacation. We decided to do more than just get a tour of the winery -- we went for a cooking class based on all... More

We went here for a wine tasting and a fabulous lunch. This is a small operation. We really didn't see a lot of the actual operation -- but we did hear about the business -- wine, olive oil, balsamic. Our tour was followed by a fabulous lunch -- many delicious courses, on the patio which also included tastings of their... More

This is a beautiful organic vineyard on the road between Castellina in Chianti and Poggibonsi. We first had a tour of the cellars during which the owner, Silvano, gave us a history of the farm and his passion for organic farming that led him to change careers from veterinarian to farmer. He also mentioned that a % of their profits... More

We came to Casanova for a wine lunch. The owner was very welcoming and informative about his wines as he walked us through his winery. His wife prepared a very authentic delicious Italian lunch using his products. The lasagna is off the charts! The wine pairings were perfect. He also makes his own balsamic vinegar which is delicious! A very... More

We could not believe what a find this was. The hotel we stayed at booked us a 4:30 tour at casa Emma. So I went on Trip advisor to find other wineries and came across this one. We drove right over and we're not disappointed. You will not find a bottle of wine for less than 50 Euro. Understand that... More

You go there and it starts with a short tour/explanation on how they make wine and balsamic vinegar. You get to try a 30 year old balsamic vinegar which is pretty cool. Then you have lunch in a place that could be better designed but you have a nice view and breath lots of fresh air. Lunch is really good,... More

We first visited Tenuta Casanova on Sunday 25 September for a wine tasting and lunch. We were greeted by Francesca who toured not only their wine storage areas but explained the land and agriculture (vineyard and olive trees) and introduced us to some of their livestock and other four-legged visitors. Lunch was an introduction to their wonderful wines and our... More

We were part of a close-knit group that visited Tenuta Casanova and got to spend a morning and lunch with Rita and Silvano. We were welcomed warmly and made to feel at home--down to seeing the recently killed boar that I'm sure would become one of Rita's fabulous ragouts. We enjoyed so much -- sorry we didn't get to have a... Spent an afternoon visiting this beautiful winery with my family of six. Franchesca gave a fabulous tour of the cellar highlighting the olive oil and balsamic vinegar as well as the wonderful wine! She was so informative and enthusiastic. This is a family owned winery and she was quite proud of the products. We were served a full tasting of... More

4 friends came here not knowing what to expect and we all loved the tour, the story from Silvano, the food, the wine, the olive oil, and the uniquely wonderful balsamic on ice cream. We had the "light" lunch after the tour and were treated to course after course of endless delicious food and wine. This stop made our day... More
