We walked past the war monument in Caserta and it was unfortunately not a highlight of our trip. We really loved our stay in Caserta, but this part of town was not the best and the monument itself has been clearly abandoned to its fate,...More

Such a heroic sounding name and inscription but in reality it's a dirty, ignored concrete monstrosity next to a busy road that is used for dogs to poo in.

simple, white marble monument, in the traditional style of the thirties closes the view at the end of Corso Trieste. It's not the best monument in town but it's there in memoriam of the fallen of all the wars. So R.I.P.
