Archeologically interesting church and dig
May 2019 • Couples
Unfortunately, this romantic little church was closed on the day we were there, but it's history fascinated us. We would have liked to have seen inside it. Built on top of Roman ruins, which are visible on the one side, in a recent archeological dig, a sarcophagus was found with two skulls and one only skeleton, which was very curious. We need to find out more about it. While the majority of points of interest in Italy also appear in English, unfortunately, the explanation about this church was only in Italian, but from the translation it appears that these are the remains of an old woman that were found in 2013

Great Romanic church
Jul. 2015 • Couples
beautiful romanic church. unfortunately it is closed most of the time, so you need to find out when it's open. Several romanic churches in Ascoli could be described as jewells and there's a guided tour to see several of them (only in Italian, I suppose)
