If you are an Archaeologist or a antique pottery fan (Krater, ring a bell?) this is a museum for you. Even if you have to endure the heat during the sicilian sommer because the air conditioning is broken (I though Antiquities should be kept in...More

We visited this on a combined ticket after going to the Valley of the Temples. The contents will make more sense if you do it that way round I am sure. After a hot morning at the temples I was hoping for a cool blast...More

Visited as bought a combination entry ticket at Valle dei Templi. On ticket it's called Mus.Arch. Griffo. (Total paid ticket was Euro 13.50 for entry to both). Can be somewhat boring for the layman and it seems that every shard of pottery artefact is exhibited.....More

Coming by car at 900 meters before the museum on a roundabout there is a sign for the museum bit at the Museum itself or at the parking there is no sign for the museum, you drive along and back, but nowhere a sign so...More

The museum is interesting and is well laid out. My only slight criticism would be the amount of pottery exhibits that are all the same. I do love a museum artifact but after about 500 Greek urns it all starts to look the same.
