Be charmed by the sweetness of life in the late 18h century in a typical residence of west-France countryside. Immerse yourself in the rustic and delicate furnished rooms that seem still inhabited ...The French garden offers fresh perspectives on the park's, its labyrinth and its timber.Site of the arrest of General Charette in 1796, the Chabotterie marks the end of the War in the Vendée. Permanent show on this period.

Beautiful setting and gardens amazing. There was an audio tour through the house which was good but when it came to the 2 films they were only in French so couldn't really get a proper understanding of the history.

It's a gentleman farmer's large home. So far so good, and quite interesting. The animations are absolute rubbish. Fortunately, we received complimentary tickets, as I wouldn't have been happy to pay for this. On the other hand, walking around the park was very agreeable -...More
