Warning to tourists
Took a trip on the weekend to the Falls with my wife and another couple. There is now only one place that you can take boats from as all others are closed down.We where asked if we wanted to do the bamboo raft ride at the Falls we said yes and where charged 1560php each for two boats for 2 couples including raft ride. Got to the Falls and did not take raft ride as did not interest us as much as it was explained as it was just to go under waterfall and not a cave as we where told. Trip Took couple of hours and when we returned we tipped our boat men 200php on one boat and 500php on the other, then the fellow that took our money originally told us we had to pay 1000php for the raft ride we didn't take but already payed for before we left and they harassed us in the carpark for the money. This was straight up dishonest and scam behaviour so my advice is to find another attraction to see and avoid these dishonest people. It's only a small waterfall approximately 20foot and water is dirty and boat ride is very uncomfortable. There are over 7000 island in Philippines far better to go and visit them then this attraction.

Joannah and Red, both really great people, took me to a boat where the hardworking boatman pushed us up river to the falls. Then we took a raft through the falls and Joannah captured the experience on camera for me! So much fun! We fed the fish and cooled off in the water then headed back for an authentic lunch of pancit bahon, sisig, shanghai, sinigang, and calamansi. We also stopped on the way to try bibingka, yum! I will remember this trip for a lifetime! Joannah is so knowledgeable about everything and explains it all so I’m so happy I got to have her as my tour guide!

I’m not sure I could choose a favorite part. It was great from the time we got on the boat until we left the boat at the end. It was so cheap to go too. I think we paid 1500 pecos per person. The trip up the river to the falls was so beautiful and exciting. There were small rapids that were fine for a person not very brave in the water. I would go over and over again. The entire trip was probably 2 1/2 to 3 hours. We ate at the place we entered when we returned. It was very good.
Advice - be prepared to get wet. I wore a swim suit. Be prepared to sit down in the bottom of a boat. I’m 64 with RA. It was hard to get up and down but the men helped me and it went fine.

This was the second time we’ve been to Pagsanjan Falls. The first time was about 30 years ago in the summer when the water was low. This time, due to recent rains, the water was much higher. Both trips in the canoes were safe, but higher water made it seem more precarious.

It’s a beautiful trip up the Pagsanjan river. The cliff walls along river are very high and covered with jungle growth. Plus, there’s quite a few smaller water falls along the way with water falling from far overhead. Lot’s of photo opportunities when you’re not hanging on.😀

The Boatmen work really hard to push and pull the canoes (including 3 passengers) over and around the river’s rocks. They’re very deserving of a generous tip.

Because of the high water this time we weren’t able to go the second falls. But, we were still able to take the raft under the first falls and get soaking wet. 👍🏻. We all had a really good time!
This is a fun experience. Don’t miss it.
We give it 5 canoes! 🛶🛶🛶🛶🛶

Last 11-27-2022 we went to pagsanjan falls, but the boat ride didn't reached the natural pool and pagsanjan falls. We just reached the First falls, coz. The boatmen says the water is big and too risky. I think they are hiding something. I think the Cavinti falls is own by someone else. That's why they were not allowed to enter for tourist. 1,250. Plus 100 is not worth it.

The falls are about two hours drive from Manila. The most interesting point of the tour is the upstream trip of the river. The two boatmen of every canoe try very hard, even with their legs and hands ,to cross the canoe through huge stones and narrow points(they deserve a good tip)The area is spectacular and arriving to the falls you can visit the cave behind them, with a bamboo “boat”.Don’t forget to have spare clothes, because you will get wet and also buy before the departure a waterproof bag for your camera, smartphone and money.

This was one of the best experience I’ve ever done. The boat ride up and back has breathtaking views. The boatmen work extremely hard to get you there, so make sure you tip them well! I’ve read bad reviews of people pushing for tips, but they’ve stopped all of that. Not once was I asked for money or pushed to buy something. Honestly the raft was fun, but not the best part. The best part was the most gorgeous scenery. Not recommend for young kids, but teenagers are fine. I will definitely do this again!
