We visited as part of a cruise tour - building is beautiful but found little info given on the tour, workers were on a break so nothing to see and the perfume is astronomically priced and very heady.

"Touring" the factory was of marginal interest but learning about the different "notes" that a scent has was new for me. Like wine, there is the first scent that makes the initial impression. The intermediary one and the final and lingering scent. At the beginning of the tour, the "ingredients" for each of Amouage's perfumes are on display and you can learn what it is you are attracted to. The "tasting" or sampling area after the tour is great. There is no pressure to buy, not at all. You can ask your guide what to recommend based upon what lingering scent is fo interest to you....because that is the one that will stay with you for hours. Can't do that at a department store or at the duty free shop! Take advantage of his knowledge and give yourself a very unique souvenir to take home!

We loved it. We stopped on our way from Seeb to Muscat & a very professional person explained us more about Amouage and perfumes in general. It was the first time for us to visit such a place, definitely one of our best things to do in the area as we love perfumes. For those that comment on the price - no one forces you to buy anything but they really take time for an individual.

Amouage perfume is so expensive - anyone who likes Acqua di Parma (like me) it will probably be a bit too heady!
