We rang before driving from Ballarat to ask about the late entry discount tickets. We were told twice on the phone it was from 3.30pm and $45. We timed everything to get the kids here for 3.30pm. Arrived at gate to be told it's from 4.15pm so we would need to pay full price for 2 hrs and 45 mins. Absolutely terrible communication and pricing.

Our family of four had the most amazing time at Winter Glow. Opened 3.30pm - 8.30pm, entry was smooth and from the moment you stroll in, it’s all about the fun. We got through so much in a few short hours, from playing mini golf to the excitement of the rollercoaster, we toasted marshmallows around the fire and enjoyed the fire twirling and our kids loved decorating the cookies, there really is something for everyone. The millions of lights and walking around the lake taking it all in is simply spectacular. Well done Adventure Park, we had the best time.

We are family of 2 adults, one toddler 95cm and one infant. We have Seasonal passes. It's a total waste of money. There is not much to enjoy. Water is not heated and my toddler shivers every time even on the hottest day. Few Indian adult men opened the river safety gate and dived into river. I saved a toddler running after them and getting drowned on this boxing day. Super crowded, rides get super hot. Aeroplane ride's safety belt is super easy to loosen which can cause accidents. Not enough rides nothing much to enjoy. Super hot venue. No shady cool place for mothers who breastfeed and have prams. I would call it waste of money.

Me and my mates went for a day out of fun. We first went to the tornado which had a smaller [funnily enough] line wait time of 25-30 mins. Very fun slide with a really big drop halfway through. then we did the big carousel swing, which made us very dry. At the end me and my mates could do both the big rides and only have to wait for 1-3 mins. Very good theme park do recommend.

Had a fabulous time with the family. Didn't seem too crowded and the layout was easy for way finding. Could have done more with the facilities, especially more shower and change rooms as many people left it until later then there were queues. Loved the Tsunami and mini golf courses. Only gripe is the courses back track as some holes so disrupts the flow.

Winter glow at adventure Park
Geelong from 3pm to 8pm.
The whole family went on Sunday and was so good with
all the lights.
They had rides open which the kids had fun.
You can buy food,or a cup of coffee.
Kids had heaps of fun in the snow zone which you had to book a time to go into.
Must wear warm clothes, hat, beanies and gloves
as was a bit chilly.
The lights was totally the best.
It's for all ages.

Visited Adventure Park for the first time 19/11/22. The weather while overcast at 6.30 was raining heavily by 8.30 . While the park closed down the rides for safety reasons {wholly support this }. The light show was left going . The light show is AMAZING { Although this is nowhere near a term to describe } We all enjoyed the lights and this will now be a family occasion every year going forward . The Staff , are next level helpful , friendly and all under trying conditions . They are a total credit to the park

We had to wait about 1hr & 30mins to get on the tsunami and made some of the family get worried that they had
not seen us when we came out and went to a different slide. There were people pushing in from the back.
The lazy river was really a lazy river it was more like dodgem cars. Around the corners it had a strong smell of urine.

Got groupon voucher and paid $20 pp. Still absolute rip off but so glad we didn't pay full fee of $36 pp!!
28th April. All cafes/shops bar 1 sweet shop & burger barn closed. Tiny tots closed, carousel closed. Water guns off. Rubbish rides, kids ride - Moonbikes were just crappy rusted pedal bikes.
If this is Victoria's biggest theme park then they have a problem. Ok my kids loved ther splash time (despite freezing cold and no hot showers) I can understand kids having good time in Summer there but apparently (according to people who were there) it is packed and has outrageous queues. Save your money go to the public swimming pool..

This water park has been under development for 16 years and bills itself as 'Victoria's first water park.' It opens daily during the Christmas school holidays (bar Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It does not open between May and September in the off-season, and at times in spring, summer and autumn it is closed, particularly early in the week.

It is not difficult to reach, being just off the Bellarine Highway. The Geelong to Queenscliff bus has a stop nearby: timetables are at www.viclink.com.au under 'regional bus.'

The admission charges are extortionate. Our group of six paid $182, as adults are $33 a head while the biggest rip-off is reserved for senior citizens who must pay $27 a head despite many merely minding the children.

Season tickets were apparently abolished in 2007 when the water park underwent a $4 million upgrade. This abolition understandably received a negative reaction in the 'Geelong Advertiser' newspaper at the time.

The park forces visitors to pay an extra $6 per person for five minutes on the electric go-karts. This charge pales into significance compared with the $28 charge for hiring a barbeque. Whatever happened to the Australian tradition of free, or 20 cent coin operation, electric or gas barbeques?

Only one of the 'Tunnel of Terror' and its mate slides were operating on the day I was there, and the tiny tots water attraction was unavailable until about 1230 despite the park opening at 1000.

Patronage was only fair (probably 400) on the day I was there but it was inclement in the morning. I am told that on some hot days the queues for the big dipper water slide are long, but there was no waiting while I was there.

Many of the picnic tables lacked weatherproof shade: it protected from the sun but not from rain. Given Victoria's changeable weather, this is poor design.

The one good feature was two well designed mini golf courses including streams.

The main changerooms adjacent to the big dipper lack hot water, whether in the showers or at the vanity basins. This is typical of the parsimonious attitude of whoever owns this water park.

It is far better value to go to the pleasant, free beach at Queenscliff or a Council-run public pool in Melbourne or Geelong.

This attraction is testimony to why more and more Australians prefer to holiday overseas rather than pay exorbitant prices to visit so-called water parks in Australia. Avoid!

Adventure Park sincerely regrets the reviewer’s disappointment in our product. Since the $7 million dollar development of the Waterpark 3 years ago, our pricing structure has been based on that of other similar products throughout Australia. We are in fact at the lower end of the pricing scale, with similar interstate attractions pricing between $37 and $55 for General Admission. Our pricing is also comparative to that of other major attractions within the state. Whilst it is true that we have not offered a Season Ticket since 2007, we are about to launch on 1st November 2010 our new Summer Fun Pass, which is effectively a season pass (some restrictions apply) offering card holders unlimited entry to the park for the cost of only 2x day tickets. Out of the parks total 21 rides, 19 of these rides are included in the day ticket price providing ticket holders with unlimited rides all day! Only 2 rides have an additional charge that applies to both the Go Karts and Electric Cars, due to the overheads incurred in operating these rides. These rides are therefore up to the guests discretion if they which to participate or not. In addition to private BBQ hire at $25 for the full day, coin operated BBQ's are available within the park at $1.00 for 10 minutes - a standard fee applicable at most public BBQ's. Although it is not clear when the reviewer visited, at times extreme dangerous weather conditions, may cause a particular ride to temporarily close whilst the weather passes or if the weather develops in some rare cases into an electrical storm front a ride may need to remain closed for extended periods to ensure the safety of patrons. Hot water runs to all change-room facilities and our maintenance logs reflect no interruptions to this facility throughout last season. Although there are many beautiful beaches in Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula, Adventure Park is a unique leisure attraction for the area, rated by tourism bodies as on par with similar attractions in more northern parts of the country.
