Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ocean Grove Nature Reserve is a haven for wildlife. Good rains have meant that the billabongs are brim full of water. Foliage is lush. The Ocean Grove Nature Reserve has several paths running through it, pick the one that suits your level of ability and available time; some tracks take several hours to complete. The Nature Reserve will take you back to the time when native bushland covered the Bellarine Peninsula. By the way, it's a great place for a picnic; wood-fired BBQs are available.

Well this is a lovely bush reserve very close to Ocean Grove but much removed in terms of the quiet experience to be had here.
There is a few walk track options including a new all abilities track.
The reserve has plenty of water with all billabong's full at the moment.
Birds are also plentiful
Such a lovely place but you need to protect from the Mozzies with long sleeves and trousers, boots and hat and available repellant. Not hard to wear the stated clothes this time of the year.
great place to escape the rigors of life without having to travel far

We discovered this amazing picnic spot last weekend and it will be a new favourite. Wood fired BBQ's made for an awesome adventure with our two little boys and lots of 'huts' for them to explore. We even were lucky enough to see a Wallaby on the currawong walk.
Awesome place for a picnic! Take some mozzie repellent with you.

Ocean Grove Nature Reserve has 143 hectares to explore with many pathways to discover. You can do a loop walk around the edge of the reserve which will take you about an hour. Walking under dropping sheoak trees, coast tea-trees, black wattles and golden wattles to name a few. Over head you may see a koala, but i haven't been that lucky yet. I have seen plenty of red-necked wallabies and swamp wallabies and also echidnas. I won't name all the birds and butterflies you will be amazed at, so please go down and take a look. It's a lovely little reserve managed by Parks Victoria and many volunteers. This is a quiet reserve well worth a visit. Enjoy your day out!

I love the Ocean Grove Nature Reserve
I often go there as I live nearby because it is quiet and is beautiful bush area so close to busy Ocean Grove.
It is the last remaining native Woodland on the Bellarine and was preserved for that reason and that there is a refuge for many amazing native birds and animals.
I have see Echidna's, Wallabies and although I have not seen it there is a resident Koala. The birds are plentiful and only needs you to be quiet for a time and their calls are evident.
There are many really good walking tracks as well.
A wonderful place to relax and enjoy life

This amazing nature reserve is the last remaining area of native woodland on the bellarine peninsula. Home to an amazing array of birdlife and native fauna.
