The water is rough and compared to other locations that are accessible by car, this isn't the best place. We went to Pineapple beach and the snorkelling there was amazing, tons to explore and not far from shore at all. We wouldn't go back here.

Water is rough, even on a good day. Wear a belt and good snorkeling equipment. Reef is shallow with some bleaching, but there is plenty of fish. It is better place for scuba divers than snorkelers because of the rough water current.

The coral reef is dead - destroyed by hurricanes or people who knows but the colour of the see in the shallows is amazing. We saw giant sting rays, snappers, parrot fish and some other coral fish. Its a nice experience for a two hour...More

Best snorkeling experience in all of Antigua areas!!! Went 3 times in 2 weeks. Beautiful clear water, tremendous amount of marine life made it spectacular.

I'd spent 12 days in Antigua during which we visited the beaches recommended for snorkelling, some okay and some not so good. So, we booked on to the Cades Reef trip hoping to see much more than we had snorkelling off beaches such as Half...More

We booked this excursion with guest services at our resort. After paying the deposit with our resort, the rest was paid by credit card at the site. The trip included a ride to the location, kayaking and boat ride to the reef. The driver who...More

We snorkeled at Cades reef twice during our recent holiday in Antigua, once when the sea was so rough and choppy that we could barely swim, let alone enjoy snorkeling, and once when conditions were quite the opposite. Make sure you check expected conditions with...More

Visited Cades Reef for the marine life, but in truth came away disappointed. The reef is quite long, and its entirely possible there are other bits with more life in them. The reef itself consists largely of dead coral that's doing its best to regenerate....More

We did not book with any one in particular, we drove to the beach and there were guides with boats there and we went with them, they were very very nice and the price was good, very safe also. Have a great trip
