- Claire D11 contributionsSeeing rare and unusual plants, living in such harmony. We can all help to create biodiverse sanctuaries.I have just spent the morning chatting with Seamus and his gardening team at Cluain na dTor. Spending time exploring these amazingly biodiverse gardens was so inspirational. As a keen plants woman working at Wisley for the Royal Horticultural Society, I love the chance of seeing new plants and talking about how to grow them. Well done Seamus, with the decline of specialist plant Nurseries the chance of seeing rare and unusual plants is a real treat. Thank you ClaireVisited July 2024Travelled soloWritten 26 July 2024

We were here lastweek and it was a really great time with the family. We went in the morning and we were the first visitors. The lay out of the garden was amazing. We get to see tropical plants to bonsais, succulents and even vegetables. The different sculptures where unique. Had a lovely chat with Sarah too about a bit of the history of how this garden was made. We would definitely recommend it to anyone that loves gardens like this. ♥️💗🥰

This nursery and garden is beautiful and fully stocked with an enormous amount of plant life. They've spent so much time developing the flora into a Shangri La in Ireland.
They are extremely accommodating and friendly. I can't believe how knowledgeable they are about so many things.

Visited the beautiful gardens today. Greeted by a lovely friendly girl. Gave us a leaflet which outlined the full route around the gardens which was all one way! No worries about crowds during these times. Such beautiful colours, plants and foliage. Was just a magical voyage from one area to another. Great credit has to go out to the owner Seamus and Deirdre for their vision of what you can do to protect the environment and their gardens certainly do that. I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful tranquil garden. Thanks for having us 🌳👏

The garden is full of exotic and colourful plants. We enjoyed a stroll round and chatted with a member of staff. It was a bright spot on an otherwise dull day and it gave us ideas for our own garden. Very informal layout ,lots of intimate spaces, and a lovely view out to Tory island. Well worth it!

I have bought a lot of plants from here over the years and have always received great advice from Sarah. On the last occasion I also took the opportunity to do the garden tour. I was not disappointed, it gave me great ideas and I bought more plants for around my own pond. Thanks Sarah for the advice as ever! Hope to get back again soon.

We had a lovely stroll around the gardens today and it was even better than we expected! Beautiful array of flowers - especially appreciated by my mum who is a keen gardener. Lovely to see gardens that aren’t over groomed with wild parts for the bees and wildlife to enjoy. Well worth a visit if you’re around Falcarragh or passing through!

If you like unusual plants it is worth paying the small fee to enter the gardens. They are not manicured or weed free but there are interesting plants with lovely shaped leaves and unusual flowers that you don’t see everyday.
