Visiting this place that happens to be close by but had never been and only wish I had a long time ago. This place is astounding so beautiful and if you loke your old places and gardens then this place is for you.

I've lived half an hour from this gorgeous garden for 15 years and never knew it was there! Stunning rockery, lovely nooks and crannies for a great game of hide and seek, a "Tombilboo" hedge you can walk through and very good scones with jam...More

The most striking feature of these gardens is the more than a mile of carefully clipped hedges. We liked the sunken garden but the rock garden was easily the best and most extensive we have ever seen. There is a nice woodland walk as well.

Wonderful well kept grounds with a reasonably priced tea room. We live fairly locally and never knew about this little gem!

I’ve visited several times, and love the gardens and outdoor space / activities but have been very disappointed with the cafe... The cake was completely stale, my scone was rubbery (microwave warming is not a good idea), my ploughman’s consisted of an old limp salad,...More
