All the sculptures have gone and it’s now a private dwelling. I had to sit in their garden and stare at the empty plinths for 50 minutes until the police arrived and I had some entertainment. All I have is memories.
This museum displays all aspects of life at the time of the Industrial Revolution, shops, machinery, coal mining, steam engines, etc. There is so much to see and do that a full day should be dedicated to the visit in order to give it justice....More

As this is a comparatively small museum, there may be a temptation to give it a miss. If you do, you'll miss admiring some unique artistry. The creative process involved in some of these is intricate and exacting. But don't take my word for it!
