Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Prenj is a mountain range in the Dinaric Alps of southern Bosnia and Herzegovina, located in eastern Herzegovina near Mostar, Jablanica and Konjic. The highest peak is the Zelena glava at 2,115 m (6,939 ft), and there are several other peaks of similar height.

Easiest route 1) from Konjic through (eastern) Bijela valley into Tisovica. 2) from Mostar through (western) Bijela valley/ Grabovčići.

One of the most beautiful and most impressive mountain range in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Also, Prenj is fore sure one of the most beautiful mountain massif of whole Dinaric Alps. Prenj is more than mountain... There are also wild horses near!

The mountain has been described in many books as the "Bosnian Himalaya". Himalayan veterans should treat this comparison with caution. Nonetheless to Bosnian mountaineers Prenj is definitely the most special; rich in mountaineering history, endemic species, and providing the largest variety of mountaineering challenges. It's the most exciting in the region. There dominate sharp and elegant peaks, impressive ridges, beautiful valleys and other... If you visit Prenj, I recommand you to visit also National park Blidinje, Kravice waterfalls, Pocitelj, Mostar and Jablanica!

I have climbed and hiked both in summer and winter in all the mountains higher than 2000m in Bosnia and Prenj is my favorite. In winters it is like the Himalaya. There are hiking trails for all levels, climbing rocks and ice plus plenty of huts scattered throughout. Though it is best to take your own tent. Water is found in plenty and the trails are very well marked.

I visited this mountain dozens of time. Last time this September.

Prenj mountain is for sure one of the most beautiful and most impressive mountain range in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Also, Prenj is fore sure one of the most beautiful mountain massif of whole Dinaric Alps.

No matter which side you approach it, from Konjic, Jablanica or Mostar, you will be blown away with it's beauty. As every mountain of Dinaric Alps, be prepared for Alpine conditions, even in summer season, cause weather can change easily.

A lot of trails are very well marked with signposts. There are quite a few objects, from shelters to mountain huts restored, where you can stay and explore the mountain more days. This mountain is also one of few in the country which has good quality map, which can be found at Mountaineering Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
