Loved it.

Breathtaking views, even though it was raining we could see it all with almost no effort.
There are lots of stairs and might not be accessible to people with disabilities.
It is an incredible experience specially if you are a witch/practice witchcraft or have ancestors that did.

Fascinating open “witch” caves
Aug. 2019 • Family
Good deal of walking through these caves which were the centre of the witch rituals and sabbaths in the 1600s.

Worth visiting after the museum and bring sensible shoes as the rocks can be slippy. Lots of hidden paths and small caves to explore.

Great for young kids. It’s one of the few we saw which you can do without a formally booked guided tour. It is open roaming.

Worth visiting

The trail walk is enchanting and the views are amazing when you reach the top. It's a fairly easy walk and the caves are very smaller than expected but definitely worth viewing. The price is good and the history is very interesting.

It is a good visit! They are no common caves, I think they are worth! You have to walk and go up stairs and go down.

Nice day trip from pamplona.

It took just over an hour to get there on decent roads but definitely curvy!

It's a nice little day trip we were there about an hour at most but we were pretty quick. I think true nature lovers would be a bit longer.

The only negative for English visitors is that signs are only in Basque, French and Spanish.

Well worth a visit.

More open and light than the Grotte de Sare . A huge luminous cavern you walk through without the need of a guide which opens out to a little stream and a smugglers track. You could do a quick tour in half an hour or spend a couple of hours walking along the trails here.
Beware of slippery surfaces here and there when you exit the cave on the other side and there are quite a few steps to go down into the cave and back up again. Good to give you an appetite.

History-Rich, Breathtaking Cave + Museum of the Witches
Oct. 2015 • Couples
We stopped at the museum first for orientation and to more fully understand the experience, and were pleasantly surprised by the exhibits, presentations and scope of the museum.
Following that, we walked further up to the Caves entrance and were oriented by an amicable staffer. The flyer describes several short-ish excursions through the property and the area where locals were accused by the Catholic church of "witch craft" to subjugate and take ownership of this incredibly beautiful part of the country.

Actually, of all of Northern Spain, this was my favorite stop, and that speaks volumes. I'd have stayed overnight if I'd planned better but already had reservations in Pamplona, about an hour's drive away.

Allow for at least two hours each for the museum and the caves. Not easily accessible if you have a mobility issue.

Witches Legend
Jul. 2016 • Friends
This place bears the fame of being an old witches' meeting point. Lots of people visit it with the belief that something spooky happened here more than 300 years ago. The devil, it's thought, appeared here quite often to dance and have lots of fun with hundreds of locals. women mainly.
The caves are of huge proportion but they aren't the nicest of the region, which are surpassed by the ones in Sara and Urdax, among others.

Amazing cave but the informational material given is very simple and left us with some questionmarks.

Amazing Cave
Feb. 2016 • Couples
this is a great cave to explore. There are lots of steps at the beginning to go down. When we were there there was school children having a field trip day. You get a 1 euro discount if you go to the witch museum with the receipt here. They take credit cards
