This is a great distillery, very good tour and selection of whisky afterwards. It was the Glenfarclas 15 that really got me into single malts and I still love their whisky.Distillery well worth a visit, great way to spend a couple of hours!!
We were just passing and my husband wanted to visit.
Unfortunately, we just missed thr last tour of the day, but we were welcome to look round and my husband was offered some whisky to try (I was driving!).
Very welcoming staff and we hope...More
We missed our appointment at another distillery and pulled into Glenfarclas spontaneously while passing. We had missed the majority of the last tour, but the staff invited us in, as they were being given their drams in the tasting room. The staff brought us up...More
This is a big distillery by comparison but they don't skip on detail and they aren't flooded with tourists like Macallan or Glenlivet. The whiskies are excellent. They realized we weren't newbies and brought out 20+ yr whiskies for us at no charge. They have...More

Glenfarclas puts out some amazing single malts and it's still one of the few family-owned distillers. This combination makes for a great tour. First, it's much more personable. You walk through the distillery and talk with some of the people working the stills and warehouse....More

Yes, of course - a reservation is required. As they are still independent and try to give their outmost, they kimdly ask for a reservation in advance. I am pretty sure that if you go there without reservation by chance, you... More
